The Staff The strength of Wessex Tutors lies in the high calibre of its teachers, who are all graduates with teaching experience. The approach is sympathetic but firm, and importance is placed on keeping the students motivated and optimistic. The tutors are familiar with the demands of intensive coaching, with teaching a variety of different syllabuses, and with teaching accelerated courses. Because the college is small, the staff get to know the students well and take a personal interest in their welfare and progress The Students Most students are between 15 - 19 years (although a few are older or younger) and there are roughly equal numbers of each sex. The majority of them live at home and travel to Wessex Tutors on a daily basis: some as far afield as Poole to the west and Chichester to the East.
All students are expected to attend classes punctually and to do their homework regularly. The college is free from minor regulations, but we do expect students to be courteous and considerate.
Most students come to us on recommendations of friends or their former school. We pride ourselves on the happy and friendly atmosphere of Wessex Tutors.
