Short Retake Courses for A/S and A2 levels/GCSE We provide intensive courses starting in September for those wishing to retake A/S or A2 level examinations in January, and GCSE examinations in November. Not all examining boards hold exams in the winter, but it is often possible for students to change boards when differences of syllabus are not too great. It is also possible to join Wessex Tutors in January and retake examinations in June
One Year Retake Courses For A/S or A2 level/GCSE These intensive courses are recommended for students who are unable to retake in the winter because their syllabus is unavailable then. They are also recommended for students who wish to sit more than two exams, or who are looking for a considerable grade improvement. One Year A/S and A2 Level Courses These courses are designed for students changing school after one year in the sixth form. We are able to continue with the second part of their A2 level course. Where appropriate we may change to a syllabus which suits them better.
Two Year A2 Level Courses These courses are designed for students who have not yet tackled A level work. A two year course is recommended for younger students or those who do not wish to take an accelerated course. One Year GCSE Courses Intensive tuition is offered in GCSE for students transferring from other schools. A minimum of five GCSE subjects is usually recommended, including English Language and Mathematics.
Easter Revision Courses These courses are extremely popular with students preparing for A/S, A2 levels and GCSE's. The courses are flexible and can be arranged to suit the particular requirements of the student. We concentrate on intensive revision, paying special attention to problem areas, and essay-writing and exam technique. Tuition For Oxbridge Entry We offer specialist tuition for Oxford and Cambridge entry. All students are given advice on admission procedures and choice of college. After-School Tuition After-school tuition is offered for students who attend local schools and colleges, and feel they would like extra help with one or more of their subjects. We concentrate on those areas of the syllabus which are causing difficulties. After-school, evening and weekend coaching can take place at Wessex Tutors or at the tutor's/tutee's home. |
